Everything you need for your online ESL teaching classes - Best equipment and props

Best equipment to use in online ESL classes:

Mpow 071 USB Headset/ 3.5mm Computer Headset with Microphone Noise Cancelling, Lightweight PC Headset Wired Headphones, Business Headset for Skype, Webinar, Cell Phone, Call Center

This is the best headset I have ever owned. I use this noise-canceling headset when I'm teaching at Qkids. This headset is perfect if you have children or you live in a noisy neighborhood. You must choose noise-canceling headset when you're teaching online to avoid receiving complaints from the parents. We don't want that! They are not only cheap but high quality. It also has a volume and mute buttons so if you want to sneeze or cough, you can simply press the mute button and spare yourself the embarrassment. All you need is an ethernet cable and adapter and you're all set. I bought everything at Amazon online and I had a great experience shopping there.

- Ethernet cable and adapter

No need to spend a lot of money on an ethernet cable. This is what I purchased along with an adapter. I never had an issue with the connection.

- Ring light

I don't know about you but my room lacks some lighting. I found a great ring light that works well with my iPhone. It's a lifesaver!

If you are teaching on your phone, you will obviously not need all of that. Earphones would suffice. But you will need a phone stand. Here is a cheap one I bought on Amazon. It's great! You can adjust it and set it up wherever you want.

Best props to use in the classroom:

I buy most of my props at Dollar Tree. It's unnecessary to invest on expensive props. You will be teaching younger and older kids. You don't need to use many props for the older kids but for the younger ones, all you need is some fun puppets and flashcards. I will be posting videos very soon to show you exactly what I use and how I teach my students. I purchased some stickers, clappers, finger pointer sticks and funny props to make the class more interesting and fun. The kids do get bored at times!

I bought these cute finger puppets and my students love them!

You do need to have a nice kid-friendly background. So here is what I purchased from Amazon along with a fun reward system.

This is perfect if you like a colorful background but you don't want to damage the wall and you want to use magnetic rewards and change the decor every week. I love this magnetic oil drip pan.

You can cover it with a sheet, glue some magnets on the back of props or rewards and stick them to the pan.

I hope you enjoyed these recommendations. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. :)Thanks for reading.
